Born on November 18, 1949 in San Antonio to Henry and Doris Muska.
David attended St. Gerard Elementary and Highlands High School. Later he attended San Antonio College and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, where he discovered talent in electronics and graphic arts, disciplines he would make use of throughout his life. A love of music led David to become a singer-songwriter, performing at open mic events and “picker circles”, notably at Luckenbach and Bankersmith, Texas. Recently David was chosen as the Grand Prize winner in the Bankersmith song writing competition. (His winning song can be heard on YouTube with a search on Bankersmith or his name.) David was blessed with multiple talents and a wonderful sense of humor, all contributing to his knack for songwriting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Arthur Paul Muska.
David is survived by his brother, Terry Muska (Carol); sister Phyllis Muska (Dan Behringer); and 3 nieces, Jennifer Segura (John), Leslie McGuire (Quentin) and Kellie Lowe (Jeff).
Services will be held privately for family Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area, 3353 Morningside, New Braunfels, TX 78132
