David W. Opper, beloved husband, father and "Papo", of San Antonio, died Friday, November 2, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 44 years of service. Mr. Opper was a decorated Korean War veteran and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Erma Opper and his sister, Marguerite VanEss. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith E. Opper; stepdaughters, Drs. Suzette Parker and husband, Calvin, of Orange, TX and Cindy Reichek and husband, Martin of Houston, TX; sons, Steven M. Opper and Thomas D. Opper; daughter, Linda M. Adams; sons, William C. Opper and wife, Linda, all of Garden City, MI; grandchildren, Jordan, Reagan and Cameron Parker, Aaron and Ashton Reichek, Joshua Opper, Rachel and Stacy Hubel and Nicholas Adams; sister, Jackie Butler; brother, Michael "Buddy" Opper.
