David Ortiz Ortega Jr.

David was born to David Ortega and Cynthia “Dee-Dee” Cisneros on October 21, 1974. He was a 1994 graduate of Holmes High School. He was a proud business owner of Southern Pride Roofing Company for 9+ years. David had many passions in life, to include attending Community Bible Church, listening to praise and worship music, golfing with family, playing poker with friends, exploring beaches in California, skiing and snowmobiling in Colorado, making sports bets, and playing in high stakes poker tournaments in Las Vegas with a go big or stay home attitude. His happiest moments were found in the company of his best friend and brother, Mark, and his pride and joy, daughter, Andrea.

David is preceded in death by sister, Valerie Sanchez, cousin, Yvonne Treviño, uncle’s Robert Ortega and Leroy Fernandez, grandparents, Guadalupe Fernandez, Bennie Ortega and Paula Ortega.

David is survived by his daughter, Andrea Sophia Ortega; father, David Ortega and wife Blanca; mother, Dee-Dee Cisneros and husband Eloy; brothers, Mark Ortega, Eloy John Cisneros (Stella), Eddie John Puente (Andrea); sisters, Crystal Cisneros (Natalie), Laura Cisneros, Vanessa Cuellar, Monica Salinas; brother in-law Benjamin Sanchez and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, located at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, on January 21, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be officiated by Christopher Cardenas and Ray Soriano at the same location on January 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
