Amazing how people think they know who I am, and in a way, they don't, yet ironically they do... I have just been respectful of Carmen and Nilda and everyone else, that's all.

I enjoyed what "WE" had as much as "WE" could and I was pleased, with whatever I got; not expecting anything of you in return, but, those special moments we shared at home, OUR HOME, your gift to me. I never asked you for anything, but, you gave me alot... God knows that and so do you and me... 
My parent's visited your grave, Mami cried, she loved you so much... remember how she used to call you, "Putito" Papi, he's strong but, misses you all the same... He always enjoyed your "war/Army stories! He can't figure out how I can cope without you... 
In Puerto Rico, I had a mass done for your birthday... Mami spoke to the priest for me. She tells me it was really beautiful...

It would have been your 54th birtheday this past Sunday, it was so, lonely for me, our house/home felt so heavy and yet empty... I played our "salsa in English" cd, it's almost burned out. I play it daily. I have your ring on my Cadena, the one you gave me at the beach in Puerto Rico, is still on my finger as I had sworn to you. I really miss you, our trips everywhere, Dallas, Austin, Laredo, Puerto Rico and McAllen, Corpus Cristi... I am enjoying the house you bought for me, no one will EVER know, I promised you that... NO one. I live of our memories, of the moments shared together for so many years... So many think I'm Vaccaro, wrong, never, she can't hold a candle up to me, as per what you would say, she was all about money, "we" were all about this love, this tremendous love we had for each other... To my friend. You helped me in the good and the bad times of my life. Even I'm far away from you, it feels like hurting in my heart. I learned a lot from you in the business matters. During this time of sorrow, we are all trying to make sense of the unfortunate loss of our dear friend David. Unlike many people I hear speaking of David today, we only knew him a few. However, like most of them, we held David in great esteem. We met the loving husband, the proud father, and the lavishing grandpa. We remember his kindness, his honesty and his greatest business advise; ?Buying or selling... only fools rush in: timing makes a good deal great? Learning of David?s loss challenged our thoughts. Why... 
After tonight service, I went home. Unable to settle, I opened one of my favorite devotional books, Our Daily Bread. Today?s reading speaks about God?s eternal plan for each of us: 
?God?s thoughts are above human knowledge- 
He moves in mysterious ways 
To work out eternity?s purpose 
Through time?s short procession of days?

David was a dear friend. I will miss him greatly.

I often visited with David in his capacity as a REALTOR and mine as a marketing representative for a title insurance company. He always greeted me with a smile and an encouraging comment. I know what a tremendous influence he had on his co-workers as well. David's personality was such that people were automatically drawn to him. I feel blessed that I was able to see and talk with him the day before he passed away. He will truly, truly be missed. My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family.
