David H. Perez was called to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family at home on Friday, October 4, 2019, at the age of 89. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Perez was a proud Army Veteran who served courageously during the Korean War, which earned him a Bronze Star. He is survived by his wife of 64 years: Dora Delgado; sons: George Perez, and David D. Perez (Corissa); daughters: Roseanna P. Gonzales (Rodney), Lydia P. Medellin (Andy), and Mary Llamaz (Jesus); 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lauro R. Perez and Vicenta Herrera; brother: Ernest Perez; sister: Lydia Fonseca; and granddaughter: Marissa P. Mena. Mr. Perez touched many people’s lives with his outstanding kindness and generosity. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 2525 Palo Alto Road, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. the Mass of the resurrection will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church at 1918 Palo Alto Road. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m. at Shelter 2.
