

He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Bettie Lu Rice, brother Richard Ernest Rice, Grandparents Ernest & Elizabeth Parks and Jerry Sr., & Nell Rice
David is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Schur and husband Larry Schur of San Antonio, TX, and their children Brittany Leeanne Schur and Jeremy Mitchell Schur, Cousin Amanda Fenn, & Aunt Pamela Parks Fenn of Dallas, Texas.
David was a graduate of Clark High School and has his bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.
He began his career helping manage the family business, Baby Fair of San Antonio, and went on to become a vital team member as an account manager for the events of All Baby & Child Corporation. David could also be seen providing San Antonio tourists with downtown river cruises along San Antonio’s famed Riverwalk.
David formed strong bonds and fellowship at Oak Hills Church. He was an integral member of the singles group and helped organize many of their fellowship activities. His life-long friends, Doug Holman, Kyle Wantzloeben and Tom & Carla Van Zandt formed The Brotherhood where they socialized, prayed & played together.
