David Morales Sanchez Jr., age 85, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 in San Antonio. He was born in Lockhart, Texas on April 22, 1931 to David Valdez Sanchez and Concepcion Morales Sanchez. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1950.
He answered his country's call and joined the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean War. After the war, he joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a Noncommissioned Officer. He worked at Kelly Air Force Base with the 433rd Medical Squadron for 36 years before retirement.
David Sanchez is survived by his loving wife Aida Sanchez; his children Catherine Sanchez, David Joseph Sanchez and wife Guadalupe of Round Rock, TX, Rosanne Castro, and John Anthony Sanchez and wife Vanessa; his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 7:00 pm in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough.
Mass ~ Thursday, August 18th at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3107 N. St. Mary's St.
Interment with Full Military Honors in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
