He was born in Alice, TX on July 23, 1949.
His parents were Lora Mae and Lee McGinnis.
He graduated from William Adams High School in 1968 and then joined the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country for 20 years.
MSGT McGinnis served as a Crew Chief on C-130's at Dyess A.F.B. and also proudly worked in the 89th FMS on Air Force One at Andrews A.F.B.
He retired as a Master Sergeant and returned to Texas.
There he began a second career at Newell Recycling of San Antonio, where he worked for another 15 years and was a loyal and respected employee and friend.
MSGT. McGinnis was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
He was a tried and true fan of all Texas sports, especially those "Cowboys".
All who knew him will miss and remember this special man.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Yolanda; daughter, Andrea and her husband, Ron Riojas; son, David, Jr. and his wife, Sally; and his pride and joy, grand-daughters, Kayla and Abigail.
