I dated Laci way back when and had heard about your son and was also friends with your son Brady briefly. I just wanted to let you know how much Laci cared about David and it saddens me that you lost such a wonderful young man who truly was loved by so many. I am also a pilot as well. So many years have gone by, and I still think about all of the crazy times we shared. David and I got married in July, but don't worry you will always be #1 Davidas you say. Miss you! I realize that it has been over a year since this world lost David, but there has not been a single day that goes by that I don't think about him and his family. It is strange how you may not know someone personally, but the impact that person has on your life can be so great. I guess I love David so much because I love Brady so much. I think of Brady as my own son, and to have him and his family lose such a treasure as David, makes my heart weep and sad for them. I guess my message to Karla, Trent, Brady and Garrett is that my thoughts, love and prayers are still with you every day. My prayer to all of you is that you find the strength to continue and rejoice in the two sons you have living here on earth and to rejoice that God gave you David, even for a short while. How fortunate you are that you had David even for one single day. I love you all more than you will ever know.

David was my all time best friend! I came to Smithson Valley as a "loser". I was the kid that got picked on by every one. David took me under his wing, and made my life more bearable. I was at a time in life where I was very depressed, and almost considering suiside. David came along and gave me a hope that there was still something to be made of my life. He gave me a best friend. Some one to learn from, some one to share my darkest moments, as well as my best times with. He was one of three people in my life I have ever truly trusted. My love for him will never die. I can't put into words how much he ment to me, but if you watch me in my life right now, you can see the lasting effects of the love of my friend.

We still think about you David. Trying our best to live everyday to the fullest. Take care, man.

David was always in my eyes some one who would achieve great things in life. In fact I would always tell he was going to became the president one day,he would just laugh and say maybe.He always had so many goals and never had a second thought about not achieving them. Dear David, There are no words that can describe the loss we feel with you being gone. It has been almost a month since you left us and as I sit on this airplane writing this, the tears come falling down again. Every pilot I see, every airplane that soars through the sky reminds me of you. But know that the legacy that you leave on this world will be much more then that. 
 All the people in your life take away something special that you gave them. We will hold you close to our hearts and remember all of the wonderful memories we were given with you. 
 I never told you how much I admired you and was proud to call you apart of my family. You seemed to always have your goals set, and then go after them with full enthusiasm. I admire you for the people you surrounded yourself with and the relationships you built. Friends from all over, some from years past, were there to be with you. A testament to the type of friend you were and the impact you had in their lives. 
 The love you shared with Laci was real and true. It was evident in her devotion for you and the strength she had as she spoke at your service. What a blessing for you to experience love so young. 
 Your life short, however was very fruitful and meaningful. The impact you had whether you knew it or not will be felt for years to come by so many people. 
 I think about you alot lately. I always come back to my favorite memories of you. Baseball games, campouts, bike rides, trampolines, and the laughter we shared. We were more then a cousins. We were friends that shared a childhood together, a bond that required no words or explanation. 
 We move on now with heavy hearts and painful tears. It will be a long time before this pain is healed. However, I hold on to the hope and assurance that I have in Chritst. He promises a second life with you, one that will never end and I look forward to that day.

I do not know any of ya'll, I just happened to be looking at the Porter Loring website because the love of my life, Nicholas Hero, died August 26, 2003 at the age of 22. I met you all at the hospital when I was David's nurse one night. How I prayed and prayed that David would make a miraculous recovery, even though all of my nursing knowledge told me that he would not. I could tell what a special young man he was by the love in your eyes, and also how lucky he was to have family and friends like you. I had the honor of knowing David ever since the 4th grade. He was a nice and caring person that never seemed to just think of himself. He possesed the quality of a true friend. My deepest condolences to all of you...though we've never met, I have teenage children and a soon to be teenager. It rips me up when these kinda things happen. I'll never understand Gods plan. But, I guess I'm not suppose to. I'm suppose to have faith and love him even when his plan is far different from mine. Did God need 19 yr old David to complete his Kingdom at this time? Will my faith grow because of David Stewart? How about our relationships with our children? Wish I had the right words to comfort y'all. Seems I just have questions. I met David at the Ctc dorms, and at the time he was one of the newer guys and was one of the first that I became friends with. I can always remember going to his room on the weekends and hanging out with him. He would always play his guitar for every one. we later became room-mates and moved into a house together. Me, David, and Kenny were best buddies and have many good memories together.

I first met David in the Fall of 2002 at the dorms at CTC. Within days I became close friends with him and we shared many good memories together. I remember when David and I started a shaving cream fight with a couple of other guys, and in about 5 minutes, we were covered in shaving cream, along with the walls of about half the dorm halls. The Residence Assistants didn't think it was so funny, and we had to clean the whole thing up. Knowing David made all our lives better. I wanted to take the time to tell you how very sorry Jimmy and I are about David. I have been praying about this since I heard from Donna about the accident. I remember him being so sweet and a good boy. What a handsome young man he grew up to be. I went to Charles & Diana's today and visited a while and took a peach cobbler. I did not want to bother you both. But I do promise to come by when things slow down, because Jimmy and I truly want to send our condolences. I had the pleasure and privilege to meet David in May when he attended the Student Council Banquet with Laci. I was impressed by his maturity and polished manner. He seemed like a very caring person. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. Brady was one of my students last year, and Laci is one of my students this year. I truly believe the world, Brady's and Laci's lives were enriched and made better by David's life and spirit. I pray that peace and comfort will enter your lives, and may David's wonderful spirit be with you always.

David, you have always been such a great friend to me. From our trips to Temple to study at Starbucks to our workouts at the gym, you were always there to give me that extra push I needed to suceed. I remember our road trip to San Antonio in the rental car like it was yesterday. I have never bonded with someone so quickly as I did with you. I will always remember the great times I had with you and cherish them for I know that you are in a better place and I will get to see you again one day.

I wish I could have met David. He has such a beautiful family and so many friends that loved him very much. I feel your pain for this tragic loss but know that God would have called him only if he was ready for David. We will all be with him one day and rejoice knowing the happiness he brought so many people. May God bless you.
