David Herrera Vargas, born on March 9, 1939 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on October 31, 2016 at the age of 77. He is survived by his children, David Hugo Vargas (Rosalinda), Susan Leticia Vargas, Laura Maciel Bermea (Ruben), Selma Eunice Chapa (Rene), Noel Alton Vargas (Susan), Isaac Adrian Vargas and David Keith Vargas; former spouses, Mary Emma Vargas and Evangelina Agueros Vargas; 10 grandchidren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Susie Herrera Vargas Flores and Josephine Herrera Vargas Botello. The Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Holy Family Catholic Church, 152 Florencia St. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
