David Wayne Wheeler

The visitation will be held at Porter Loring Funeral Home, 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, Texas on January 9, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The funeral service will be held at Porter Loring Funeral Home, 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, Texas on January 10, 2017 at 12pm with Pastor Steve Curry officiating. Interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Dave was born in Washington DC on July 12, 1961. He graduated from Mannheim High School and continued on to receive an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Texas San Antonio and a Master's Degree in Business from Webster's University.

Dave was married to Gale Wheeler (Crowley) on September 4, 1984; they were married 32 years.

Dave enlisted in the US Air Force and retired in 1993. He then spent time advancing his education; moving on the CPS Energy for the last 15 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, the Texas Music Scene, and watching sports. He was dedicated to his family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 32 years Gale; son Jonathan; mother Clara Bailey; sister Linda (Craig) Pratt of Indiana, his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his loving family and friends.

David is preceded in death by his father, Bill Bailey, as well as his brother, William Bailey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
