Lt. Col. Dean B. Vallery, USAF Ret, age 80, a resident of San Antonio for almost 40 years, died Monday, September 10, 2001. He was a member of the Daedalions and the U.S. Com. Sec. During his military career, he was an active pilot in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He had multiple tasks, but was most active in the Intelligence Command. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Sue Lamb. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jane; son, Dean H. Vallery, San Antonio; daughters, Linda Coward and husband, Jerold, Oklahoma City, OK, Sandra Harper and husband, Don, Austin, TX; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Peter Vallery.
