She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Port Arthur, Texas at an early age. Deanna married her high school sweetheart, P.J. Hebert, and moved to Crystal City, a South Texas rural community shortly after they were married. Deanna and P.J. moved to La Pryor in the early '70s and raised four beautiful children: Denette, Ricky, Vicky and Terry. It was a big change from the city life in which they were accustomed. Deanna was known for her positive, upbeat attitude and a smile always adorned her face. She befriended all who met her. Deanna had a big heart, infinite kindness and a benevolent spirit. She loved to shop for gifts for family and friends and took great joy from giving. She was very proud of her children and made comments such as "My life is wonderful because of what my kids do for me and the close relationships I have with them." She made many lifelong friends and stayed in contact with them regularly.
In the early '80s she moved back to Port Arthur to be closer to her mother and siblings. This is when she met and married J. W. Tankersley. J.W. and his family had a special place in her heart. Deanna and J.W. moved to San Antonio in 2005 to be closer to her children. They resided in the Legacy Retirement Community where they made many friends. Deanna was very involved in her community and attended weekly trips for shopping and lunch with her friends. Our family would like to thank her many caring and dear friends that she so often spoke about.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Willard Molaison; mother, Alice Marie Hebert; brother, Larry Paul Molaison; husband, P.J. Hebert; and husband, J. W. Tankersley.
