Deanne MacDiarmid

Deanne as she was more commonly known as, was a very hard working woman. She had a long and outstanding career in the education. She obtained her Bachelors of Education from Trinity University in San Antonio. She devoted 30 years to teaching elementary school and the remaining years of her life were devoted to her family especially her grandchildren as their beloved “MiMi”.

Her favorite past time was spending time with her beautiful family but she also enjoyed cooking, trips to the beach with her family, shopping, and gardening. She was a devout Catholic, dedicated to her church, a wonderful daughter, grandmother, wife, mother and best friend.

Deanne is survived by her beloved husband Ronald MacDiarmid, her 2 children; her son Scott and his wife Suzie MacDiarmid, daughter & best friend Shelbie MacDiarmid and Teddy Kaples, grandchildren Jacob, Abby Jackson and AJ. As well as numerous relatives and friends all to cherish the memories they created with her.

Deanne was welcomed home into god’s loving arms by her parents Johnny J. & Zanita Maberry and her brother Dion Melton.

A visitation with a rosary for Deanne will be held Monday December 21, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday December 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, followed by a Committal Service at Mission Park Cemetery Dominion.
