Deborah will be remembered as a singular presence—someone who moved through the world with unmistakable spirit and a life all her own. Those who knew her can still hear the playful phrases that became uniquely hers, including “troopie doopies,” and recall the bright, whimsical energy she carried. She could also meet life with a sharp, no-nonsense directness, cutting through pretense when it mattered. Yet beneath that fierce edge was a good soul—steady, real, and enduring—one that revealed itself fully to those who took the time to truly see her. She was, in every sense, unapologetically herself from start to finish, and her absence leaves the world a little less colorful.
Deborah found comfort and joy in the ocean and the beach, and she especially loved fishing—simple, honest pleasures that reflected her appreciation for life’s quiet, restorative moments. Her family will carry forward the memory of her smile and her laugh, holding close the hope of hearing them again someday.
Deborah is survived by her son, Jeffrey Franklin Hahn and his wife Misti Hahn, and their children: Tanner Lee Hahn, Cassie Kay Herrington, and Karalynn Elaine Hahn; her son, Richard Allen Williams and his wife Misty Dawn Williams, and their children: Kayleigh Renee Work, Summer Rain Williams, and Bruce Allen Williams; and her daughter, Lauren Nicole McAnear and her husband Christopher Edward McAnear, and their children: Christopher Nathaniel McAnear, Lilly Ann Nees, Diesel Ray Nees, and Sophia Aurora McAnear. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary.
