Ms. Tobar was an amazing lady. The 3 years I knew her we shared stores, tears and lots of chick fil a lunches! She was a patient who became a friend. I will never forget her fighting spirit and faith. All of the employees at Texas Oncology loved her and knew she would tell you exactly what she thought and had a heart of gold!! Rest easy Ms. Tobar you will never be forgotten!! Prayer and hugs to the family. 

I am in disbelief to hear of the passing of my Godmother, Debbie.  It was Debbie who helped me complete my RCIA classes at St. Dominic Catholic Church prior to me departing for the Navy.  It is because of her, that I still maintain and practice my Catholic faith. I met Debbie my Freshman year at Holmes High School in 1984 (when she was a Senior) and she served in the role of big sister/mentor.  Unselfish, giving, generous...from the heart and never expecting anything in return.  Many great memories of laughs and nothing but a great time being around her.   It was through her that I learned of Jacob being in the Navy and where I decided to follow in his footsteps.  I also had the honor of being around Lucio and Angie who were always welcoming of me into their home...whether if it was to play pool in the garage or just to hang out and "stay out of trouble."   Debbie was a major part of my young life and I will forever be grateful to her and all that she gave (advice, direction, someone to hear me out).  I will forever remember her at every Mass I attend.  While we may have not been in contact, she was still family in my heart.   God bless you and thank you Debbie....my Godmother, my sister, my friend.  


My earliest memories of Debbie were at Esparza Elementary. I remember her always smiling.  She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace. 

Debbie has been and always will be the good conscience telling me to help people, the angel on my shoulder encouraging me to make the right decision, my "ride or die" and "down dog". I've told her before, that she literally saved my life a few times when no one else could've. I will forever remember her beautiful laugh and the way she said my name when I said something shocking. She'd say it with a laugh and it made my heart swell up knowing I made her laugh. Her capacity for love and forgiveness in most things was abundant. And I especially loved it when she was not so sweet because it made her real to me. Human. I would give my life a thousand times in place of hers so she could be with her family longer. Because if my heart hurts as much as it does, I can only imagine her family's pain. Debbie was love. She was my true friend. I will miss her for the rest of my life. And I will live the rest of my life as if she was right next to me. Even though I cannot be at her memorial today, my love and prayers are with her family. 

My condolences to Debra’s family and friends, memory eternal. I have known Debra since elementary school. She was a very good friend throughout our school years. I have nothing but fond memories of her. This picture is from H.H.S. Prom 1985, beautiful. 


We really enjoyed being around Debra, she always done or doing something  to help in good or bad time to make Your Day Happy !! She made herself available if she should .She will be Miss but Not Forgotten . She had a Big Heart !! We Loved Debra !! You  Have Our Deepest Sympathy  and Debra's Children & Parents  and  Family !!  I'm praying for comfort &  strength

 Peter Sam Sister : I knew her as Lilo, she loved being around the Sam family. I remember her saying something  at my 25th anniversary on video. I am Lilo from San Antonio and I m not one of the Sam girls but I sure do feel like one! This was her exact words that has been recorded on my 25th anniversary video tape. To  Debra known as Lilo and to her family you all have my sincere condolences and continued prayers for your family. Debra will be truly missed to those who knew her and loved her she had the most beautiful and genuine smile which I will remember her by from Elaine & Phillip Derousselle from Breaux Bridge La
