

Delbert Duane Berryman, 83, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on March 2, 1943, in Temple, Texas, and resided in Live Oak, Texas. Delbert was a devoted son of Velma Patterson and Wiley Berryman, and he carried their influence with him throughout his life with steady, respectful purpose.
A proud high school graduate, Delbert was a member of the Class of 1961 at MacArthur High School. He lived with quiet dedication and was known as a loyal and steadfast presence to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Delbert was a 60-year member of Alamo Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner, commitments that reflected his faithful, service-minded character and his enduring respect for tradition and fellowship. In his professional life, he worked as a Hospital Administrator at downtown Baptist Hospital, and as the Executive Director of Severence and Associates, which later became AmeriPath. After moving from San Antonio to Houston, he worked at Brown Pathology Labs.
Delbert was married for 53 years to his wife, a partnership marked by constancy and devotion. He also had a tender heart for animals, and his love for them was a meaningful part of whom he was—gentle, attentive, and compassionate in the everyday ways that matter most.
Delbert served on the Planning and Zoning board of the City of Live Oak. He was a long time Meals on Wheels volunteer, serving until he was no longer able to drive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings and their spouses LaVern Rhoder (Dub), Viola Mathis (Wayne), and Delano Berryman (Charlene).
Delbert is survived by his wife, Maureen Berryman; his children, Andrea Berg (Michael), Steven Berryman (Kimberly), and Crystal Grazulis (Steven); his grandchildren, Eric Lee, Alicia Luna, Elaine Berg, Conner Berg, Abbey Berryman; and Lucian Grazulis, and great-grandson, Andrew Silva.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232. A memorial service will follow.
