Delia Mendez Infante, age 82, passed away April 19, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 21, 1938 to Ruben and Raquel Infante. Delia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Graciela Almeida and a brother Eleazar Infante. She is survived by her children, Delia Nava (Oscar), Arturo Infante Almeida (Daniel Guerrero), and Julio Almeida (RoseAnn); grandchildren, Yvonne N. Guerrero (Israel), Yvette N. Ueckert (Spencer); sisters, Florentina Taylor, Elodia Vasquez; brothers, David Infante, Ruben Infante and Pedro Infante.
Delia Mendez Infante was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She loved music and gardening. A woman of faith, her many friends and family will remember her warmth and grace. She was a light in the darkness who sought joy in each day.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Cornerstone Church, 18755 Stone Oak, San Antonio, Texas 78258. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78526.
