Colonel Santiago retired from the United States Air Force, where she served as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. During her retirement, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family and her dog, Mufasa.
She is survived by her children, E.J. and Miki, her sisters, Perlita, Aida, and Remelie, and brother, Crisanto. She is predeceased by her husband, Manuel, and brother, Ruben.
A visitation for Lt. Colonel Santiago will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218, and committal service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
