Delores Jane Stokes, age 92, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Jane was born on September 16, 1930, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to parents, Gladys and Asa Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Stokes; her brothers, James Russell and Eddie Claywell; and her son, Stephen Stokes. Jane is survived by her daughters, Sandra Young and Kimberly Lay; granddaughter, Brandi; grandsons, Steven, Joshua, Jordan, and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Gunner, Doss, Andrew, Isaiah, Joshua, Jamie, Jayden, Arianna, Destiny, Liam, Jaxson, Hailey, and Aaliyah. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was kind, caring, loving, and adored by all who were lucky enough to meet her.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm., Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
