

Deloris Pearson, a vibrant, talented, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on January 21, 2024. Born on March 6, 1925, she lived a rich and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Deloris married the love of her life, Buel E. Pearson, on June 20, 1945. Their union was a testament to enduring love and commitment, lasting 63 years until Buel's passing. Together, they embarked on countless adventures and built a life centered around family, faith, and shared passions.
For many years, Deloris worked alongside Buel as a bookkeeper at his firm, Buel E. Pearson CPA, contributing her skills and dedication to the success of their business. Their professional partnership reflected the deep bond they shared in every aspect of life.
Deloris possessed a remarkable talent for painting, creating breathtaking works of art that captured the beauty of the world around her. Her artistic prowess extended to the wooden figurines carved by her husband, Buel, resulting in collaboration that showcased their creativity and shared interests.
Deloris and Buel's adventurous spirits led them to explore the world together with their friends, creating cherished memories of magnificent vacations across the globe. Their shared experiences forged an unbreakable bond that continued to shape Deloris' outlook on life long after Buel's passing.
The couple's commitment to faith was evident in their role as lifelong members of Shearer Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio. Deloris remained a devoted member, finding comfort and fellowship within the community of the church until the end of her remarkable journey.
Her love for nature was evident in her joyful interactions with the world. Even before the onset of dementia, Deloris found solace in singing to the birds, a testament to her gentle spirit and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
Deloris is survived by her son Jace and his wife Donna, who provided unwavering care and support in their home during the last 12 years of her life. Their dedication and love ensured that Deloris experienced comfort and warmth surrounded by family during the challenges of her illness.
Deloris is additionally survived by her daughter in law, Connie Pearson, son in law, Michael Fendley, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Buel, sons, Edgar Pearson (at birth) and Thomas Pearson, daughter, Patricia Fendley, and grandson, James Michael Fendley. The family gives special thanks to Dawn Magers for her personal care and love to Deloris in her final years.
As we bid farewell to Deloris Pearson, we remember her as a woman of faith, creativity, and profound love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will forever be a source of inspiration for the many lives she enriched. We were always blessed that all her goodbyes and good nights were always followed with “I Love You.”

Deloris will be laid to rest with her husband at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery after a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
