James, Ingval and Phoebe: 
Through ABCF we meet truly grand women who by their disease show us the inner strength and courage we try achieve. Through some of the meetings with ABCF I was able to see a small glimpse of this. Denise your Spouse, Mom and friend has left you many gifts you have yet to experience.

Our hearts go out to Denise and her family. What a long road of fighting she has endured. Her attitude and lilting voice will be truly missed. Phoebe, Fran is here if you need her.

Six years ago we bought our house in Hidden Forest, but soon after had to move to an apartment after discovering mold in the house. I was pregnant with Daniel, had just put my first child Haley in kindergarten, didn't know anyone, and was bewildered by the whole mold thing. One day I got a call from Denise. I didn't know her at all, but she said she was from the Garden Club and she asked if she could come by. I was amazed that although we had never met, she came to my apartment with a gift for baby Daniel to welcome us to the neighborhood! After that, I saw her many times volunteering at the school, even when I'm sure she didn't feel very well. Yet, I never heard her complain, and she always smiled. What a special person Denise was. I will always remember her.

I will remember the many times Denise and I shelved books together on Thursday morning at the Hidden Forest libary and the luncheons we attended with the visiting authors.

May you find comfort in the many memories shared as a family. I will keep you in my prayers.

Denise?s strength during her illness has been a great example to me. Even while low on energy she put her family first, continued to volunteer at the children?s schools, and took them to out of school activities. I am honored to have been part of her circle of friends and I will miss her tremendously.

We had the honor of meeting and spending time with Denise during the O2Works events and parties that she traveled to with James. She always had a smile on her face and was such a warm person. Our thoughts and prayers are with James and his family.

May her memory be a source of strength and blessing to all those who loved her and whom she loved.

Denise was an inspiration to me and many others. She was a special person with immense strength and courage and a great sense of humor. She lived her life to the fullest without complaint, despite the many limitations and difficulties recently. Denise will be sorely missed but never forgotten. She lives on in our mind and through her dear family. It was a privilege being part of her life and being her friend.

Though i am young i looked up to Ms. Hanon and her couragous spirit. she is an unbelivevable woman and will be rememeber as no less. My mother and I only feel blessed to have met her through the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation.
