

John proudly served his country in the US Navy during Desert Shield. Once honorably discharged from the Navy, he was accepted into the San Antonio Police Department Academy and graduated with the Class of 1995-B.
After devoting 15 years on the police force, he was promoted to Detective-Investigator in March 2011.
John's passion was being outdoors ~ he loved fishing, BBQ and above all else, spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Soledad Montoya.
John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Myra R. Corona; their beloved sons: John Louis Corona, Jr. and Jacob Louis Corona; parents, Sulema Corona and Louis Corona; brother, James Corona and wife, Diana; numerous nieces, nephews and many other wonderful friends and relatives.
His laughter and sense of humor were so much a part of John ~ he was deeply loved; we will all miss his smile.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25th beginning at 5:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
