

She served as a 1st Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp. during the Korean Conflict, spending her service time at Ft Sam Houston.
A devoted Registered Nurse, having graduated from the nursing program at Incarnate Word, she was employed by the Baptist Hospital System for 25 years, as Head Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing. Diana was also employed by Southwest Research as an Industrial Nurse of 20 years.
She was loved by many people due to her positive attitude and wonderful faith. Also she had nurturing skills and wonderful sense of humor.
Diana loved fishing at Canyon Lake and Padre Island. She loved working in her yard and watching the birds.
Diana was an active member of Central Christian Church for 65 years, where she served as a deacon and was on many committees, went on church sponsored mission trips to Jamaica and Ecuador.
She also was a active blood donor and was often called when there was a blood shortage as hers was
O-.
Diana is survived by sisters, Marguerite Crist and husband, Robert Crist, Anita Ross and husband, Jim Ross deceased. She is also survived by her dear friend, Fran Hiesser and fellow-nurse, Ada Lewis; nieces, Dr. Janice Crist, Mitzi Brandon, Cindi Dunsmore, Ginny Gibbs, Phylliss Crist; nephews, Jim Ross and wife, Mary, Robbie Crist and wife, Frances; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
