Diane Milner Wilson, 73, of San Antonio, formerly of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 on her 54th wedding anniversary. Diane was born in Panama City, Florida on April 10, 1935 to Frank Davis Milner and Lucille Herring Milner.
She grew up in Springhill, Louisiana where she met her future husband in kindergarten. They went to Louisiana Tech together, married in 1954 and graduated in 1957. Her husband's commission as a second Lieutenant in the US Air Force and subsequent training to become a fighter pilot took them all over the world. Diane and their 4 children followed him to 10 different states and 2 foreign countries.
Jim and Diane moved to San Antonio in 1985 and retired the following year. Diane then went to work as a teacher and later for a national standardized testing company. In addition, she followed her lifelong passion for music and joined the Fiesta City Sweet Adelines. She was a devoted member of the Community Unitarian Universalist Church.
They moved to Air Force Village II in 2003. Although she was an only child, she always wanted a large family. She considered her lifelong best friend, Jane Harper Tidwell, and later on, Jim's siblings, as her own.
