

Dolores Ethel Winters Wick, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2012 in San Antonio, after a battle with cancer. Born July 6, 1930 in Clayton, New Mexico, to Mary Ethel Palmer and Frederick Warren Winters, she moved to San Antonio in 1941, and graduated from South San High School. She later worked for the Magnolia Oil Company for five years. Dolores was married to Otto Wick Jr. in 1950. They were a devoted, inseparable couple for 52 years until Otto's death in 2002. She and her husband Otto returned to San Antonio in 1998 after living in Edwardsville, Illinois and Midland, Michigan. Dolores was an avid gardener and flower arranger, and was a lifetime member of several garden clubs, including the Little Garden Club in Midland, Michigan, the Holly Garden Club of San Antonio, and the Oakwood Garden Club of San Antonio, which she started. She arranged the altar flowers for St. Luke's Catholic Church for nine years. She was an active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter DW, San Antonio and the Pals Club of San Antonio. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto Wick, Jr. She is survived by son, Steven Carl Wick and his wife, Annette Cipolla Wick of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; son, Christopher Warren Wick and his wife, Lucinda Vela Wick of San Antonio; and daughter Julianne Wick Davis of New York, New York. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jordan Palmer Davis of Hangzhou, China, Benjamin Thomas Wick of Houston, Texas, Lindsay Erin and Evan Mauro Wick of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Natalie Rose Wick of San Antonio. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her generous heart, and her creative spirit. She was a treasured friend, neighbor, and mother.
