Dominic Lee Estrada passed away February 20, 2018, at his residence in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 46 years and 11 months. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Francis Salazar; Grandfather, Jesus P. Estrada; and Grandmother, Fidelia C. Estrada.
Dominic is survived by his Parents, Alicia and Ricardo Escobar; Daughter, Amanda Nicole Salazar and husband Oscar Barrera; 3 Grandchildren, Raelly, Jeremiah, and Gabriel of Floresville, Texas; 6 Siblings: Pete Rodriguez and wife Lisa, Michelle Gauna, Jose V. Sotelo Jr., Ysela Lerma and husband Kenneth, Isenia Sotelo, and Blanca Sotelo and husband Leo Leijas, a very special uncle who was like a father to him, Antonio Estrada; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dominic had an intense love for music. At the age of 12, he taught himself to play and write music. At the age of 15, he began playing with a Metal Band called Empire, that was very popular in the 90’s. At the age of 18, he worked for Alamo Music as a guitar instructor. He then attended a vocational school for paint and body on vehicles as well as graphic design. Dominic also worked for Weston Paint & Body Shop and has been employed for 2 years with Del Olds Wrecker Service in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dominic’s love for music was his joy. Whether it be playing his guitar, writing lyrics or jamming with friends, music was his loyal interest. Dominic and his immense talent will be dearly missed.
The family of Dominic Lee Estrada will be receiving family and friends for a Visitation on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. held at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, March 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. a Mass will be held Sacred Heart Catholic church located at 1009 Trail St., Floresville, TX 78114. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Serving as Pall Bearers for Dominic Lee Estrada are Greg Gutierrez, Joe Cantu, Jeremy Weston, Xavier Hernandez, Oscar Barrera Jr., and Dominic Jaramillo.
The Eulogy will be delivered Pete Rodriguez III and readings will be delivered by Cathy Trevino, Debbie Trinidad, and Kenneth Lerma.
