Donald (Don) Scott Cherry passed away in the comfort of his home in San Antonio on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at 66 years of age. He was born on February 9, 1955, in Fairbanks, Alaska. Don is a 1973 graduate of Churchill High School of San Antonio, TX.
Don was a family man through and through. Those closest to him described him as a selfless, giving, and a thoughtful man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Don was a very dedicated employee and was well known for his extensive knowledge in the Bobcat/Vermeer Industry. He was happiest when he was with family out by the pool or at the beach. Don thoroughly enjoyed tending to all his plants, burning food on the grill, and tinkering in the garage. He loved going to casinos on weekends or holidays with the love of his life, Linda, and of course, family.
Don is preceded in death by his father, Stan Earl Cherry.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Cherry; his son Bradley Cherry and grandson Mason; his daughter Stacy Rogers and grandchildren Emerson and Reagan; his step-son Brad Carroll, his wife Sandra and granddaughters Hailey and Kelsey; his step-daughter Melissa Galindo, her husband Michael and granddaughters Amber-Lynn and Ashleigh; grandson-in-law Benjamin Jones and great-grandson Colter Michael; Step-son Derek Carroll, his wife Gemell and grandsons D.J. and Drew; his mother Anna Lorraine Frederick Cherry; his sister Linda Denson and her family, his brother Michael Cherry and his family, as well as sister Carole Sterling and her family.
