U. S. Air Force MSGT (RET.) Donald Paul Fredette, 84, passed into rest to be with his Lord on September 28, 2019. Donald was born in New Bedford, MASS to Augustine H. and Lillian Fredette on October 12, 1934. Mr. Fredette was a proud and dedicated Airman for the U.S. Air Force for 24 years. After his retirement in 1974 he served as the Public Relations Manager and Editor for the Non-Commissioned Officers Association in San Antonio, Texas. Donald was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed by all.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents and his son Christopher Fredette. He is survived by his lovingly dedicated wife of 40 years, Carolyn (Pat) Fredette, his children Sharon (Ernie) Nowell, Paul (Debra) Fredette, Corinne (Eddie) Garza, 5 grandchildren Christina Nowell, Hannah Fredette, Jonathan Fredette, Joshua Franks, Shelby Mondloch. 3 great- grandchildren Braden Nowell, Jackson Franks, Baby Girl Franks (arriving in December), and Skylar Mondloch. His beloved sister & brother Joan Goldstein, and Roger Fredette. Don also had many nieces and nephews across Louisiana and Mississippi.
Wednesday October 2, Visitation will begin at 11AM to 12: PM at Sunset Funeral Home on Austin Hwy.
A Memorial Mass and Rosary will be held following Visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
A Fellowship Reception will be held following the service from 1:30PM to 3:30PM.
A Committal Service with Full US Military Honors due to his many years of loyal dedicated service will take place October 15, 2019 11AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Pavillion 1.
