

A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Donald graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Donald received his B.F.A. from The University of Texas at Austin in 1975.
Donald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine; children, Bertrand and wife Bryn Larsen, Christopher, Jason, and Julianna; granddaughter, Natalie Larsen; sister Barbara and husband Frederick Prassel; brother, Daniel and wife Ann; mother-in-law, Margaret Fuchs; brothers-in-law, Harold Fuchs and wife Betty Lancaster; Kenneth Fuchs and Raymond Fuchs; sisters-in-law, Margaret Ellis and husband Ronnie; Christine Purdy and husband Patrick; Nancy Reynolds and husband Richard; and many nieces and nephews. Among his family and friends,
Don's generosity of spirit and willingness to come to the aid of others in need were as well known as his dedication to continuous learning, thoughtful discussion, critical analysis, and vigorous debate.
He will be remembered by the works of art that he created throughout his life, but his true legacy is the love and admiration of his family members, and the senses of honor and humor that he bestowed on them.
