May God in His merciful love bring you peace in this time of loss.

I will always remember and cherish the discussions about history, politics and life that my father would have with Mr. Wallace at the various Redeemer Lutheran School sports events or functions. He was a very kind, compassionate, Christian man who loved God and whose heart was pure. I am so proud to have known him and to have his son Joshua as a friend. Although Mr. Wallace has departed this earth physically his spirit and memory lives through those blessed and privileged to have met him.

Dear Wallace Family: Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time. Although I did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom. His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

I will miss Don greatly. He was a special human being and brought great joy to me as long as I knew him.

I have known the Wallace Family since I was in the first grade at Mount Olive Lutheran School, San Antonio. I am older than Donny, but I remember him. His parents and mine were very good friends. We all were children together. Donny looks like his dad. The Bernardo Rodriguez family is at his funeral in spirit, and Donny has fought the good fight!! Jesus has received him. Thank U for your service to our country Donny! Blessings to Ray, Bobby and Julieane....
