It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Janelle Blue-Booker.
Donna is in no more pain or discomfort! She was 77 years old and joins her many dogs, parents and husband in Heaven!
Donna was born in Colorado City, Texas to Arthur and Helen Copeland. She was the youngest of two girls. She attended Carlsbad Senior High School and graduated in 1963. Donna would have celebrated her 60-year reunion this year.
Donna did many things in her life including bar tending, bookkeeping for Jeri at Mr. Tax in Ohio, and H & R Block in Houston, Texas, where she met her 4th husband, Dennis Booker (deceased). Donna would then drive a big rig truck for North American Trucking company for 19 years. She got to travel the country as a truck driver before moving to San Antonio, Texas to help her older sister, Jeri in 2005 working at Colonic Clinic on West Ave as a receptionist and taking orders. Donna loved people and was always a positive person to speak too. She enjoyed helping many clients and students. Donna loved working for her sister and many customers had the chance to hear her pleasant laughter when calling into the office.
Donna was Cancer patient, with Colon Cancer with surgery and chemo in 2016 to remove it. The Colon Cancer returned in her liver and lungs in 2020. This would be the battle that would weaken Donna’s health. When she lost her gray hair from all the chemo studies, but it grew back black which thrilled Donna. Donna was always a fighter and a strong person. She was determined to not let the Cancer beat her.
Donna was excited to move to an independent living apartment in April with an outdoor patio, 3 meals a day, and where she could socialize. She loved to read, and she loved her three little dogs, Mimi, age 12, Macy, age 9, and Cheeky age 2. She traveled in May this year; her sister Jeri took Donna on a cruise with her niece Misty and niece in law Jennifer. She always enjoyed life and wanted to continue to cherish it.
Donna is survived by her son Steven Caughorn, sister Jeri Tiller and brother-in-law Bill, nephews Tom Tiller and wife Jennifer, Charles Tiller, niece Misty Tiller and husband Zack, 2 grandsons Sean & Josh Caughorn, a grandnieces Christina Tiller, Jessie Zacharko, Jackie Zacharko, Shannon Warnagiris, Allison Warnagiris, grandnephew Christopher Tiller, and adopted grandnephew Cameron Rankin.
