Doris Mae Matthews, age 95, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2017. She was born to Frank & Marietta Draper in Houston, TX on July 14, 1921. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 siblings; and her loving husband of 46 years, Robert R. Matthews.
Doris is survived by her son, Kenneth Matthews & wife Rayetta; daughter, Meredith Jenkins; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park.
