Doris Jo Mooney McBee McDougall, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She was born in San Antonio to parents, Joseph T. and Ora B. (Nichols) Mooney. Doris graduated from Harlandale High School in 1954 where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She excelled in sports and was MVP in volleyball. She was invited to join the first Olympic women's volleyball team. Doris attended Harlandale Baptist Church and helped start a Bunco Club that lasted for over 50 years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roy and Richard Mooney. Doris is survived by her husband, Doug McDougall; her daughters, JoMar Rose, Tamie Rabenaldt and husband, Mike; Brenda Irle and husband, Mike; her son, Marvin (Herb) McBee, Jr. and wife, Penny; step-daughters, Gaye Wood and husband, Brian; Peggy McCaskill and husband, Rob; her grandchildren, Ashley and Garrett Rose, Brittany and Austin Irle, Cheryl Garza, Victoria Wood, Ronnie and Patrick McCaskill; sisters, Avis Christoff, Janet Harper and husband, Bob; brothers, J.T. Mooney and wife, Jeanette; Bill Mooney and wife, Susie; Terry Mooney; numerous nieces and nephews.
