Doris Elaine Walsh

Doris Elaine Walsh, 84 years of age, entered into everlasting rest on February 20, 2011 at Life Care Hospital in San Antonio, Texas after a long illness. She was born on March 21, 1926 in Bird City, Kansas to Glenn Hiatt and Jessie Pearl (Huffman) Hiatt. Doris was united in marriage to Donald Walsh on September 17, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. To this union, a daughter, Cathy, a son, Gerald, a son, James, and a daughter, Linda, were born. They moved to Los Angeles, California in 1947, and then to West Covina, Pomona, and finally La Verne. After her husband’s death, Doris moved to San Antonio, Texas to live with her son, Gerald Walsh. Doris was a loving homemaker and a member of the Our Lady of Assumption Parish of Claremont, California. She had many friends and was an avid bowler and bridge player. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, who died on December 25, 2008; daughter, Cathy, who died on November 5, 1982, and daughter, Linda, who died on June 30,1991. She is survived by her son, Gerald Walsh and wife Maria of San Antonio, Texas; son, James Walsh and wife Bobbie of Blanchester, Ohio; son-in-law, Donald Larsen of Riverside, California; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Doris will be laid to rest at the Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian in San Antonio, Texas.
