My Dear Aunt Dorothy,

I so wanted to come visit you during your final days, but I just didn't think my heart could take it.  Losing you means I have lost my mentor.  My stability in my life.  You my dear, are the last matriarch of the Hodon family as I will remember it.  However, you have left life long impressions on Judy, Jeanette, Pam, Cyndi, and myself.  I know you know this now, I just wish I had had the courage to let you know when I did have the chance.

My sweet Aunt Dorothy, please give my Daddy, my Grandma, my Papa,my Uncle Johnnie and all of the Best of the Best that any family could ever wish for a hug from my heart right along with your open arms that have now become Angles Wings.

There will never be a penny on the sidewalk that doesn't get picked up with my fingers and the words not said, " An Angle from Heaven", and "God Bless America"  You are my pennies, Daddy is my flowers.

May You Rest In Peace, and then have one heck of a domino tournament with all those wonderful family members we are missing down here, and try to save a seat for me.

I always enjoyed visiting with Dorothy at the family reunions..we love you and we will miss you so much! All of the Barnes' family are in our thoughts and prayers and we love you.

Dorothy Mae had a sense of humor as crazy as mine and we always had such a great time laughing together.  She will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers go out to all.  We love you!  Norm & Sharon Belicek

Dorothy was always the bright spot at every Tallas/Manak reunion she attended. While we certainly grieve her passing, we are afforded some consolation with the knowledge that she now attends an eternal reunion with all those passing before her. We extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to her family in this time of profound loss.

I loved being able to talk to Dorothy a few days ago. She ask that I give her love to Nanny (Mildred Riethmayer) and Nanny was still able to understand what I told her. Even though we haven't seen her in years she has always been in my thought. My love to her family. She is now in God's loving care and with all our family. What a wonderful family reunion.

Our sympathy goes out to the entire Barnes' family. Rest in peace dear sweet cousin.
