From my heart to all of Dot's family, I am so saddened for your loss. She was a very dear friend for many years that was always so kind and generous. Love and hugs to each of you and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my dear friend Dorothy McCormick Chartier
Dorothy was my dearest and closest friend especially during the summer of 1958. We spent a lot of that summer going dancing every Saturday night at Landa Park in New Braunfels. It was such a wonderful fun time and just recently talked and laughed about it. I introduced her to her "Mack".... We will all miss you --

Grandma words can't even describe how much I love and miss you. You always did so much for us  over the years  I can't even thank you enough. I wish you could've been around a little longer for when I have kids so they could know you and all the love you gave. 34 years, 6 months, 30 days, 3 hours, and 30 minutes....that's how long we had together. I hear your voice telling the same story over and over to anyone and everyone who would listen about the day I was born, "there she was, nothing but a pair of big brown eyes hiding in baby blanket." That was the beginning, the beginning of you as a Grandma and me as a grand daughter....I think we did good together, didn't we? You screamed when I learned to drive and I freaked out when I wreaked your car, we worked together, lived together (sorry we kept bringing pets home), I got married--you watched, you got married--I watched, I had babies--you watched....literally, you helped me raise them, and then you got sick--I watched. That's all I could do, was watch....watch as you looked at me and said you're sorry, watch as the doctors said there's nothing we can do, watch as you slept and feel so completely helpless. You did so much for me, for my kids, for everyone, and I couldn't do anything, except watch. Maybe that's why you left us when you did, you waited for me to leave, so I wouldn't have to watch. They say you called my name, you asked for me, Jordan says I must have been in trouble, because you only called me Rebekah when you were mad. Where you mad I wasn't there? It's okay if you are, because I'm mad too. It wasn't enough, 34 years, 6 months, 30 days, 3 hours, and 30 minutes...it just wasn't enough.

I miss you grandma and I wish you could have seen my siblings and I grow up more. I wanted to have you at my graduation and see Mackenzie turn 2. I love you and wish you could have been around longer.

 Today I took my time driving into work and went to a few garage sales and found some cool items .   I was thinking about Tyler's upcoming baseball tournament and how excited we were to start baseball this season.   I picked up the phone to make my daily phone call to you to share my daily routine and to listen to yours  and realized that no I won't be able to call Mom today.   I can't tell you how much I cherish and will miss our daily conversations. I know that it's OK you hear me anyway .  I love you and miss you
