Dorothy Dana Richardson Doyle, born January 8, 1928, entered rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the age of 84. Dorothy, a longtime San Antonio and Boerne resident, was born in Dallas, TX to Edwin S. and Dorothy K. Richardson. She spent 14 years and 3016 hours as a volunteer at the Rainbow Senior Center in Boerne and was instrumental in the success of their exercise program called “Count Your Life”. She also volunteered for many years at the San Antonio Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Desmond L. Doyle. She is survived by her loving sons, William R. Boyd (Elaine) and Jim Boyd (Michelle); daughters, Carolyn Machado (Frank), Dana Chin (Robert) and Nancy Green; daughter in law, Debbie Boyd. Also left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 4:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
