She was the daughter of Col. Charles Allen Easterbrook and Margaret Bell Easterbrook and the devoted wife of 65 years of the late BG Ephraim Foster Graham, Jr.
Born at Fort Stotsenberg, Manila, the Philippines, where her father was stationed, Dottie started her nomadic life as an Army child and finished it as an Army wife.
When her father was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Dottie began each day riding horseback alongside him. She became an accomplished rider and jumper, and she won many cups before she began teaching riding.
It was at a hop at Fort Sam that she met her future husband, a young captain in flight training. As he filled her dance card on introduction, he told her she'd better remember his name, as it would be hers one day. Dottie and Eph were forever thereafter the most beautiful couple on the dance floor.
San Antonio was not only Eph's posting then, but it was also his family home. Dottie and Eph spent many wonderful years in San Antonio before they made it their own home after Eph's retirement.
Dottie had a voracious appetite for learning all she could from her surroundings, especially by traveling and reading. She and Eph spent many adventurous times together exploring the country in their Silver Streak trailer and enjoyed some great camping trips with their grandchildren aboard.
She was a wonderful cook, and she and Eph were the most gracious and welcoming of hosts to their amazing number of devoted friends and relatives.
Dottie is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
