Dorothy was a librarian for NEISD for 17 years, after which she founded Lancer Filing Systems. She also worked in real estate. She was very active in Shearer Hills Baptist Church, where she did counseling and taught Sunday School on occasion, and was also active in Bible Study Fellowship.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 62 years, John T. Griffin, Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Blanchard and husband George of Covington, LA; a grandson, Gilbert Garza III of San Antonio; a granddaughter, Meredith Bruce of Liberty Hill, TX; a sister, Marilyn Pinson of Round Rock, TX; and a brother, Bob E. Hagood of Leachville, AR.
