Dorothy Kachich died February 2, 2016 at her home in Hollywood Park, San Antonio, Texas. She was born November 14, 1930 in Christopher, Illinois to Mike and Helen Yadloski. She was second to youngest of twelve children and grew up with sisters, Mary, Betty and Julia and brothers, Ted, Ed, John, Joe, Mike, Bill, George and Steve. Dorothy met and married the love of her life, John Andrew Kachich, in 1954. She followed her husband from Ohio to Utah, Arizona and finally Texas where John retired from the Air Force. Along the way she had five children, Christine, Mildred, Albert, Jon and Natalie. She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and care giver. Dorothy often opened her home and heart to the elderly in need or the lonely. She was always considerate of family or friends' circumstances and provided a welcoming home and a wonderful meal especially on holidays. Dorothy was hard working, keeping a tidy home, feeding a family of seven and never complaining. She loved her polka music, pecans, fried catfish and movie theater popcorn, but most of all she loved her children and always cared for them when they were sick or provided for them when they were in need. Dorothy left us peacefully to reunite with her youngest daughter, Natalie Casto, and her beloved husband, John.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Christine Barnes of Dallas and Mildred (Don) Weiss of San Antonio and sons, Albert (Denise) Kachich of Houston and Jon (Margaret) Kachich of Tequesta, Florida and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
