She was a lifetime member of Alamo Heights United Methodist Church and was also recognized with a pin for 50 years of service with the Blue Bird Auxiliary of Methodist Hospital.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Kauffman; sister, Evelyn Chaffe and parents August and Christine Erfurth.
She is survived by her son, Robert Kauffman and wife, Linda; daughter, Carol Shreffler and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Robert Kauffman and wife, Tanya, Joan Dinsmore and husband, Magic and Peter Shreffler and fiance, Sabrina Wilson; brother, August Erfurth, Jr. and wife, Ethel and special niece, Patricia Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
