Dorothy, daughter of James Eben and Annie Laurie Blythe, was born on June 7th of 1926. She met Ferdinand Emanuel Maese in September of 1946, and they were married on February 20th of 1948. Dorothy encouraged Ferd to re-enter St. Mary's University while she worked and managed their home.
Just before Ferd's graduation from law school with a Juris Doctor Degree in Law, she gave birth to Stephen Lewis Maese on September 7th, 1950. Dorothy was a housewife, raising their son and creating a home for their family. They shared many happy times together traveling to Las Vegas as well as many trips to Europe and cruises.
Both she and Ferd were active in the Covenant Presbyterian Church, participating in the Meals on Wheels program. Dorothy passed in her sleep on June 15th at the age of 87.
Dorothy is survived by her son Steve, daughter-in-law Rose, and her granddaughter Christina. Also surviving her are brother-in-law Douglas Mebane and his family, and Manny and Delia Maese.
