She was a charter member of Shearer Hills Baptist Church, past Matron of Bethany Chapter, O.E.S., a member of the Daughters of the Nile, the Ladies Oriental Shrine and the Beauseant.
Mrs. Rose was a teacher at Rhodes Jr., Lowell Middle, and Edison High Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elva and Lucy Woods; son, James D. Rose and his wife, Pamela. She is survived by her husband, Harry Rose; daughter, Linda Bradley and son, Royce. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Matthews; brother, Eugene Woods; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
