We met during the sixth grade at Helotes Elementary School. That was 53 years ago!

In high school, we had fun playing poker, watching wrestling, and eating at Rudy and Irene's. These were such great memories!

Throughout adulthood, we still remained close. Your sense of humor and political opinions were refreshing.

Douglas, I will miss you deeply.

What wonderful memories I have about Douglas as young adults such as playing cards, camping, playing basketball, attending Spurs games and much more. Douglas was a patient man. He used that skill well especially when playing cards. He often beat me playing crazy eight as well as other poker games. Douglas will be missed by so many people, especially his family. Rest In Peace. God Bless. My condolences to the Poor family. Sincerely, Christine Kohler.

May you rest in peace, you will always be in our hearts. I will always cherish all the memories that we made together. Bingo, walking to the corner store together when you lived on Cincinnati, our time at the Coast. Lots of fun family parties and gatherings. Love you always.

It was the shocking news that brought tears to my eyes when I heard of your passing. I will always cherish the memories of Sunday Bingo with you & Granny. The times I stayed with you when I was sick. I regret not coming around more and that will forever stay with me. I miss you. I love you. Rest in peace Uncle Douglas.
