Douglas Van Artsdalen

peacefully left the confines of the physical body on May 10, 2023.

He was born to Don and Adrienne Van Artsdalen and is survived by his father, Don Van Artsdalen, brother, Derek Van Artsdalen, sister, Donette Sis, as well as his niece Brittany Philipsen and nephew Zachary Sis.

Doug was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 17, 1952 and subsequently a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas.

As a special needs person, Doug had lots of great love and support from both family and friends, as well as from those who professionally oversee the care of such persons, and overall Doug lived a pretty full and mostly peaceful life. He loved music, drumming, singing, playing games, riding bikes, watching movies, going to the beach, and often just having silly fun.

Doug was a simple, trusting and gentle soul, and no doubt heaven used his seven decades in this world to bring blessings to those around him. He showed patience and compassion and helped others see the world around them in a different light.

So we now lovingly send our Douglas on to greater adventures,

liberated forever from the toils of his life on planet Earth.

Go in peace, soul warrior Douglas, and many blessings, dear one—

enjoy your life back in the heavenly realms and remember that you can never go wrong listening to The Beatles!
