It is hard to believe this life was cut so short. Just a couple of years ago we were shooting baskets at the work picnic and laughing during the fun activities. Tailgating was the theme and Eddie organized the best tailgate and won all the prizes. He outfitted many cadets now fine officers during his work at USAFA. That is a terrific legacy. Many will carry on the torch of work excellence. May God bless the family with peace! Go Nuggets, sorry Eddie!

This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done is to write these words about my best friend. Eddie was my best friend. We have known each other for over twenty years. We worked together and drank together. I got older and Eddie never aged. We were very close and we have a million stories that get better every time they were told. I keep thinking I’m dreaming and any minute he’ll show up or text me He was the best people person I had ever met in my life. Eddie and I talked about politics, religion, our kids, our wives, our parents, siblings and growing up. Eddie’s family was very important to him. Marie, Maya, Emily, Jennifer and Rita, he loved you all so much and was so proud of you. He bragged on all of you almost every time we met. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you all. In closing this Eddie, I’m sad, mad and don’t understand why you had to leave but I love you man and you will be missed. My hearts is sad but WOW all the memories I have.
