He retired from the United States Army.
Eddie is survivied by his wife, Lorenza R. Wilson; children, Eddie Lee Wilson, Jr., Virginia Wilson, David Wilson; grandchildren, Jordan Anthony Wilson, Sheria Danielle Wilson, Jazzmin Washington, Dionte Gardner and Destiny Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday January 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery,
