Dr. King was Valedictorian of the 1948 graduating class of Stephen F. Austin High School, El Paso, Texas. He was a member of the National Honor Society with the highest scholastic rating of that class.
On May 30, 1955, he graduated from the Baylor University School of Medicine.
He served in the U.S. Army in 1957 and was appointed Chief Resident of the Dermatology Service in January 1, 1960 for a period of three months at Brooke Army Hospital.
From 1963 until 2005, Dr. King was in private practice as a Dermatologist at his office on Broadway and later at his Lincoln Heights office.
He is survived by his cousins, Jean Y. Fish, Vivian Young Kinnear, Woodlands, TX, Laura Young Underwood, Flowermound, TX, Mrs. Franklin C. Young, Conroe, TX, Virginia Young Granger, El Paso, TX and Mary Young Harrington, Van Horn, TX.
