

Edith Collazo, age 95, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on March 10, 2026, while living in a Senior Care Home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico on October 10, 1930 to Ana and Michael Collazo.
She moved to the Bronx, NYC with her mother and siblings when she was five years old. She graduated from Central Commercial High School, NY, NY and Monroe School of Business, Bronx, NY. She worked for the National Bank of North America as a Senior Loan Clerk Supervisor until moving to San Antonio where she was a secretary until her retirement at age 65.
Edith is predeceased by her mother Ana and father Michael Collazo, her brother Michael A. Collazo, her sister-in-law Irene Collazo, her niece Irene Pratt, her aunt Francisca Martinez and Uncle Sixto Martinez, and her grandniece Michelle Collazo.
Edith is survived by her sister Frances Collazo, nephew Robert Gonzalez (Connie), her nephew Charles Gonzalez, Jr. (Suzanne), her nephew Michael L. Collazo, grandniece Diana Novak (Ralph), grandniece Katie Andrews, grandnephew Charles Gonzalez III, and three great-grandnieces and two great-grandnephews.
Edith was an independent, feisty, tough, but caring Christian woman. She was a caregiver to her aunt and mother until their deaths and in recent years a caregiver for her older sister. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends, especially her sister.
Visitation is at 12 noon Monday, March 23, 2026, with a memorial service to follow with burial at 2pm at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
